Our team has produced thousands of custom designs throughout the years. Designs begin as a simple sketch or picture, then are created using the lost wax casting method by either producing a wax from CAD/CAM or hand carving a wax pattern. The second technique is by hand fabrication from solid metal, sheet, stock, or wire. Each design is specifically tailored to client needs. We can manufacture your piece from start to finish. If you prefer to set stones yourself, we can produce a custom mounting for you.
CAD is used for the majority of our custom work and is usually the first step in our manufacturing process. It provides a blueprint/picture of the product before production. A picture known as a CAD rendering will be emailed to you. Upon approval, we 3D print a model using our rapid prototyping system and cast into the metal of your choice. We are experts in Matrix, JewelCAD, T-Splines, Z-Brush, and RhinoGold.
We offer high resolution 3D scanning/reverse engineering for organic models. This technology is perfect for scanning existing objects, coins, or figures and scaling it down in size or applying it to particular surface of a design. It also allows us to create perfectly fitted matching wedding bands for existing engagement rings.
We print ultra smooth high resolution prototypes. We utilize the latest DWS technology to eliminate or minimize stair-stepping effect, common with most rapid prototyping methods. Our models are durable and directly castable. As a result, castings are very smooth and require very little clean up before polishing.
Some of the finest designs are hand fabricated from solid metal, sheet, stock, or wire. Our master jewelers are highly experienced in hand fabricated jewelry and can handle any special designs that require hand fabrication in gold or platinum. It is usually more time consuming and labor intensive than casting, but in some applications, it is appropriate and the quality is superior.
